Patrons have the opportunity to step inside the shoes of Africans seeking their freedom In Lancaster City. They will be able to hear from reenactors who portray important abolitionist from that time period and learn how to not only obtain their freedom\, but keep it. Each ticket includes our reenactment\, a southern style meal and access to local vendors on site. During black history month\, seize the opportunity to learn about people you may have never heard of. Our production has been running for 27 years and housed in the historical Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church. Patrons get the chance to step into the shoes of Africans seeking their freedom in the 1800’s in Lancaster. They will also hear about events that happened in the county and testimonies from local abolitionist from the era. Each ticket includes the reenactment\, a southern style meal and access to local vendors on site. You’ll never experience history like this. Come make our story\, yours!
